Fortitude Productions presents Richard Wagner’s Die Walküre in a distinctive concert performance with piano accompaniment on Sunday 18 January at Knutson Studio in Berlin Steglitz. Performed in full, the opera is heard in an intimate setting that brings listeners exceptionally close to Wagner’s music drama.

With musical direction by Matthew Toogood, who also provides the piano accompaniment, this performance strips the work back to its musical and dramatic core. Freed from staging, Die Walküre unfolds with the focus and immediacy of a Liederabend, allowing the voices, text, and harmonic tensions to emerge with striking clarity and emotional intensity.
